The 7 basic plots in Lord of the Rings

Overcoming the monster

- In lord of the rings they try to overcome the bad power (Sauron) to do that they had to bring the Ring to mount doom and destroy it.

Rags to Riches

- Frodo got the ring from his uncle but the ring is attractive to dark forces and if you have the ring you can feel the bad forces. But with his fellowship he managed to make the        journey and taking on the bad forces much better.

The Quest

- Lord of the Rings sure is a quest because they need to accomplish their goal and to do that they have to take on a big journey and some big fights to defeat the dark forces.

Voyage and Return

- Frodo the Hero has a goal to accomplish to do that he needs to make a big journey, in his journey he needs to overcome back powers, later when the goal is accomplished he        comes back home and lives on his old live with great memories.

Comedy

- There is sure some comedy, between Gimli and Legolas for example how they compete makes things funny and take of the tension of the movie in a good matter.

Tragedy

- Saruman is the white wizard with good means but is being attracted to the power of Sauron which causes him to choose the bad side.

Rebirth

- Gandalf the wizard is helping the fellowship to complete their journey but they were attacked by a bad demon. In the fight Gandalf was taken to the deep where he defeated      the demon and was reborn as a new person, better than ever and ready to take on the fight for middle earth.
